Welcome to AIESEC!
AIESEC (pronounced EYE-sec), the world's largest student organization, is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society. AIESEC is a global network of 50,000 members across more than 90 countries and territories at more than 800 universities world-wide. In addition to providing over 5,000 leadership positions and delivering over 350 conferences, AIESEC also runs an exchange program that enables over 3,500 students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and work in another country.
Behind everything we do is our mission: By developing individuals, we contribute to the development of our communities and their people with an overriding commitment to international understanding and co-operation.
Our Name
AIESEC. Formerly an French acronym for "Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales". Today, we no longer use this acronym as our membership has grown to encompass a much wider range of disciplines than only economics and commerce, and our Role in society and the Core Work we do are reflected more accurately below.
Our Nature
AIESEC is an international, non-political, non-profit, student-run, independent, educational foundation. It is comprised of students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education who are interested in the world outside of their own. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, colors, sex, sexual orientation, creed, religion, national or ethnic origin.
Our Role
By developing individuals, we contribute to the development of our communities with an overriding commitment to international co-operation and understanding.
Our Core Work
AIESEC facilitates international traineeship exchanges and supporting activities that provide practical learning experiences for our trainees and that facilitate the learning of our members and other stakeholders.
